Girls Who Code has a Columbia club chapter that runs during the school year. This national organization is dedicated to closing the gender gap in the technology and engineering sectors. The program meets on campus and recruits high school girls from local high-need partner schools. The club runs classes on Saturdays, has two levels, (10am – 12pm for introductory and 12pm-2pm for experienced), and accepts new applicants each semester.

Interested in joining for the spring semester? The application is now open.

Roles: CU students teach or TA the sessions ; undergraduates may also join the student executive board; graduate students can be trained as instructors by GWC central. Faculty can serve as advisers to the group.
